Cabinet Secretary Tells Staffs to Continue Working Professionally Ahead of Political Years

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has called on staffs at Cabinet Secretariat not to be affected by political years.

In his remarks at the opening of the 2018 Working Meeting of Cabinet Secretariat held at the Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, Saturday, (24/2), Pramono reminded all the staffs at Cabinet Secretariat to work professionally and not to spread hoaxes.

“We must continue working professionally. You don’t have to be affected with political years. Do work as usual and give the best services for our President and Vice President,” Pramono said.

Regarding the launching of a number of apps, Pramono said that it is indeed the time for it as part of the task of Cabinet Secretariat in providing services to the President.

“In providing services for the President, we, in Cabinet Secretariat, can no longer be late in providing the services,” Pramono said, adding that he even acknowledged that he envisioned it can be faster than what is wanted by the President.

“If we can do so, our tasks and responsibilities in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 25 and strengthened by Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017, will be different from that in Cabinet Secretariat in the previous eras. We also have to give new colors in the managerial system,” Pramono said.

On that occasion, Pramono also reminded anyone who represents Cabinet Secretariat in attending coordination meetings with other Ministries/Institutions to be confident. “For any echelon officials who represent me in meetings with Coordinating Ministers, Ministers, or other Ministries/Institutions, you have to show that you are the one who represent the President, represent me, so you have to show it,“ Pramono said.

For the record, the Working Meeting was attended by around 500 staffs from all working units at Cabinet Secretariat.

Also attending the event were Deputy of Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support (DKK) Yuli Harsono, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Fadlansyah Lubis, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Economic Affairs Agustina Murbaningsih, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Human Development and Culture Affairs Surat Indijarso, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Maritime Affairs Satya Bhakti Parikesit, Expert Staffs, Special Staffs of Cabinet Secretariat, echelon II, III, IV officials, and all staffs at Cabinet Secretariat.
