President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo called on the people to cast their votes before enjoying the long weekend holiday.

For the record, the simultaneous elections on 17 April 2019 are set two days before five-days long weekend after the Good Friday holiday.

Nevertheless, President Jokowi urged the people who are eligible to vote to go to the polling stations first before going on vacation. “Do not forget to cast your vote in the morning before leaving,” the President told reporters after performing Friday prayer at Baitussalam Mosque, Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Friday (29/3).

The President also stated that it would be unfortunate for those who decide not to exercise their voting rights because the elections- which use an enormous amount of money –  will determine the nation’s path for the next five years. (BPMI Setpres/ES)
