President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (09/13) invited a number of Indonesian celebrities to test ride the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) from Halim KCJB Station to Padalarang Station, West Bandung regency, West Java province.

The celebrities admitted that they were very pleased and proud to have the opportunity to try the first fast train in Indonesia.

Raffi Ahmad, one of them, claimed to be very excited and  expressed hope that the fast train could tackle congestion.

“I’m very happy to test it together with Pak Jokowi. It will soon be operational and as a person who was born in Bandung, now working in Jakarta, I feel very excited to use this fast train, to ease traffic congestion,” he said.

Raffi Ahmad also expressed gratitude to the President for his commitment to realizing the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train project.

Pak Jokowi, thank you very much. This is one proof that Indonesia is making progress and this fast train is something we are very proud of for Indonesia,” Raffi said.

Echoing a similar sentiment, actor Vino G. Bastian also expressed appreciation for the availability of a high-speed train in Indonesia.

“Usually, fast trains can only be accessed abroad, but now they are available in Indonesia. I think this is an extraordinary gate for Indonesia’s progress. Thank you, Pak Jokowi, thank you Indonesia. And, [I’m] proud to be an Indonesian citizen,” Vino said.

Actor Gading Marten also admitted that he was very honored to have the opportunity to try the new Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train.

“[I am] very honored today to be able to try the fast train from Jakarta, Halim to Padalarang, Bandung with Pak Jokowi. I am thrilled that Indonesia already owns a fast train and it is ready to operate for the public, experiencing it up to a speed of 350 km/hour and it is still safe and comfortable,” Gading said.
