- 9,192 members of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri);
- 892 members of struggle groups;
- 63 national figures;
- 43 unsung heroes.
There are 10,190 heroes in total. We also pay tribute to unsung heroes whom we do not know their names and burial places, either in cities, in villages, on mountain slopes, in canyons and valleys as well as at the bottom of the ocean. Our utmost respect for all heroes for their sincere and sacred sacrifices as well as their devotion, during their time of service and struggle for the sake of the nation’s and country’s interest.
We promise that their struggle is our struggle and their path of struggle is also our path. Our pray, may their soul rest in peace and God the Almighty grant them a beautiful place. (AP/MMB)
