Christmas Celebration to Nurture Peoples Solidarity
Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko has sent Christmas greetings to all Christians working at Presidential Institutions and Coordinating Ministries during the Oikumene Joint Christmas Celebration of Presidential Institutions and Coordinating Ministries adopting a theme Jesus Christ, Wisdom For Us (Corinthians 1:30a), at Krida Bhakti Building, Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Saturday (12/1).
Moeldoko deeply pleased to attend religious activities because through that activities, he can learn something and introspect.
Sometimes, there’s an empty place in our souls because we are busy and forgot how to nurture compassion, solidarity, soul of service. Its not easy, we need to nurture it, he said.
The Presidential Chief of Staff added that Christmas celebration can make us introspect about good deeds we have done from time to time.
Before concluding his speech, Moeldoko called on people attending the event to no longer speaking about minority and majority because the country fully protects all citizens.
Do not speak about minority and majority because we, as citizens, share same rights and responsibilities to the country. Everyone is equal, Moeldoko firmly said.
Committee Chairman for the 2018 Presidential Institutions Christmas Celebration Theodorus Djoko also shared similar idea with Moeldoko that Christmas celebration can shape people to become a more thankful person who is full of spirit, diligent and hard-working in providing services to the nation and country.
Also attending the event were Minister for Womens Empowerment and Child Protection Yohana Yembise, Chairwoman of the Presidential Advisory Committee of Indonesia Sri Adiningsih, Secretary to Minister of State Secretary Setya Utama, Presidential Special Staff Lenis Kagoya, Cabinet Secretarys Special Staff Bistok Simbolon, and officials as well as employeesof Presidential Institutions and Coordinating Ministries.
