Coordinating Minister Urges to Optimize E-Catalog Utilization, Boost Domestic Products Spending
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan Tuesday (05/24) said that his ministry will continue to coordinate in order to ensure that domestic products spending, especially products of micro and small-sized enterprises, as well as the use of electronic catalog (e-catalog) can be optimally realized.
The Coordinating Minister said that as of May 24, 2022, there are more than 340 thousand domestic products that have been showcased in the e-catalog, while the target set by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is at least one million local products to be showcased by the end of this year.
“We also continue to call on regional governments to optimize their local e-catalogs. There are only 46 regional governments that have published their local e-catalogs. Thus, we request Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure that 496 regional governments will immediately publish their local e-catalogs,” Luhut said.
On that occasion, the Coordinating Minister further said that the Institutional Level Finance Application System (SAKTI) has been integrated with the Business Actor Perfomance Information System (SIKAP). Moreover, integrations of other information system that are being developed by ministries/agencies are targeted to complete this year.
These integrations aim to reduce corruption, according to Luhut.
In addition, products codification system harmonization is currently being carried out by the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) and the Statistics Indonesia (BPS).
“It is very important so that we will know the amount of goods that we will procure every year,” he said.
Furthermore, Luhut expressed his hope that the affirmation action to increase purchase and utilization of domestic products can boost national economic growth. (MAY/UN) (AP/MMB)
