President Prabowo Subianto is about to depart for East Java province to lead the simultaneous grand harvest in 43 locations across Indonesia (BPMI of the Presidential Secretariat)

President Prabowo departed for East Java province for a work visit on Friday (07/17). In Malang regency, the President was scheduled to lead the simultaneous grand harvest as part of a synergy with the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) aimed at supporting the national food security program.

Flying with Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft, the Head of State, with a limited entourage, took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.

Upon his arrival at Abdulrachman Saleh Airport, Malang, President Prabowo was scheduled to proceed to a nationally integrated grand harvest site. The grand harvest event covered 8 sites of sugar cane harvest assisted by the Indonesian Air Force, 31 sites of rice harvest assisted by the Indonesian Army, and 4 sites of soybean harvest assisted by the Indonesian Navy.

In addition to leading the grand harvest, the President was scheduled to visit the exhibition of TNI’s priority programs and downstream initiatives aimed at helping to enhance added value in the agricultural sector and national industry.

Through this event, the Head of State aimed to ensure the food sector was strengthened in an integrated manner, including production improvement, assistance for farmers, and downstream programs to produce more added value in efforts to improve people’s welfare.

The work visit was part of the Government’s commitment to improve agricultural productivity, downstream programs, and sustainable food self-sufficiency.

Also joining President Prabowo to East Java were Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
