Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
May prosperity be upon us all,
Shalom,
Om Swastiastu,
Namo Buddhaya,
Greetings of Virtue.
Distinguished Fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairperson of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Steering Committee Megawati Soekarnoputri
Distinguished Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet, Minister of Youth and Sports, Cabinet Secretary;
Distinguished Head of the BPIP Yudian Wahyudi;
National flag hoisting team which I am proud of.
Good afternoon.
Salam Pancasila! (Pancasila greetings)
All of you should be proud as today you are able to meet two Presidents of Indonesia, the fifth President and the seventh President. In the past, people could only meet one, but today you get to meet two.
Again, why are all of you designated as ambassadors of Pancasila? Because the Government would like to disseminate Pancasila values as a working ideology that we should implement in our daily lives, not just a slogan, not just a memory as previously conveyed by Mrs. Megawati.
The noble values contained in Pancasila must be a guide, an inspiration for the Indonesian people in the society, the nation and the state.
As we all know, Indonesia is a very big country. Our population ranks fourth in the world, reaches 270 million people. We have 714 different ethnic groups. Indonesia spans from the westernmost part of Sabang to the easternmost part of Merauke. I once flew from Banda Aceh directly to Wamena for 9 hours 15 minutes by plane. If you walk, how many years would it take? If we flew from London in England, we would fly pass seven countries in 9 hours 15 minutes.
This is our country. We have various ethnic groups, religions, customs and traditions. The people are also diverse with different hair types and skin colors. There is no country as diverse as ours and it is only our ideology that can unite us.
For that reason, the Paskibraka team was designated to as Pancasila ambassadors. We would like to disseminate Pancasila values in new ways and in a more contemporary approach to reach out to the younger generation. Because without Pancasila, we could not even imagine what our country would be.
Which one is from Papua province? Please rise. Four people from Papua province. Which part of Papua are you come from? West Papua. Regency / city? In regency? Teluk Bintuni regency.
How about you? Jayapura city. And you from which part of West Papua? Teluk Bintuni regency.
How about you? from Jayapura city?
They are from the eastern part of Indonesia.
From the western part, Aceh? Please rise. From which part of Aceh? Regency / city? Subulussalam? Subulussalam.
How about you? Nagan Raya.
I have lived in Aceh for three years but never been to Subulussalam. However, I have been to Nagan Raya. You can see how big our county is.
Therefore, this is a breakthrough because the team are the best ones, the chosen ones from all over the country, from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island. Being an ambassador is not easy since you have to strengthen the values of Pancasila among young people and most importantly you have to keep Pancasila strong as a unifier of the nation.
I have high hopes to the Paskibraka team since you have great talents. You have great talents in sports, science, art, and culture. This is a strength that you must maintain.
I hope you will be able to become motivators for the young people, to share experiences, to encourage achievement, to build awareness of noble values, to be the unifier of the country, to become pioneers of change and progress that are beneficial to the country, nation and state.
That concludes my remarks on this auspicious occasion. Once again, I am very proud. The country is very proud to have the best people like all of you.
Congratulations on serving as a Pancasila ambassador.
I thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Om santi santi santi om,
