President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said that the use of electronic money in toll payment transaction is aimed at improving services.

The statement was made by the President to journalists regarding the rejection of the use of electronic money in toll payment transaction.

“We will improve the services. We also want to accelerate services at the toll road gates.” the President said after inaugurated the toll gate of Medan – Kualanamu – Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) section II – VI of Parbarakan – Sei Rampah segment on Friday (13/10)

“Besides, many countries have decreased cash transaction, so how can we still pay with cash? The payment is also getting more transparent, better, and safer.” the President said.

2017-10-13-PHOTO-00033309-300x174In the meantime, related to the issue of the lack of dissemination about the use of electronic money, President Jokowi said that the implementation of the policy takes more time to be learned. “Indeed, anything needs time to be learned, but the direction must be clear,” said the President as quoted in a press release by the Deputy of Presidential Secretariat for Protocol, Press, and Media, Bey Machmudin,.
