Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has announced it secured the supply of fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri holiday and it has fulfilled the need of communities.

“The real time data shows that the supply of fuel and liquefied petroleum gas remain secure,” Director General of Oil and Gas of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Tutuka Ariadji said as quoted from the ministry’s press release, Wednesday (12/5).

The national stock resistance for Premium-brand gasoline lasted for 27.9 days, Pertamax-brand gasoline lasted for 24.7 days, and Solar diesel fuel lasted for 21.3 days. Meanwhile, the resistance of LPG lasted for 15 days, kerosene lasted for 80.6 days, and aviation turbine (avtur) fuel lasted for 76.3 days.

In general, the condition of stock and distribution of fuel during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid holidays has increased by 9.2 days, higher than that in the normal average. The distribution of LPG has also increased by 2.5 days from normal conditions, while the distribution of Avtur has increased by 1.4 days from the average normal stock.

To ensure energy sufficiency for the community, the Government through state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina has taken several measures, namely increasing the stock and volume of fuel and LPG distribution to anticipate an increase in community demand, where gasoline increased by 8 percent, diesel increased by 2 percent, LPG increased by 5.4 percent, and avtur decreased by 3.8 percent compared to the normal average.

In addition, the Government also ensure that fuel and LPG products remain secure at both the Fuel Terminal and the LPG Terminal, as well as at gas station (SPBU) and an LPG bulk filling and transportation station (SPPBE). There are 7,469 SPBUs, consisting of 3,608 units in Java and 3,861 units outside Java. Meanwhile, the number of SPBBE available reached 667 units, with Public Service Obligation (PSO) agents reached 4,152 units and non PSO agents reached 820 units. There are 68 Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU) available for avtur services. PT Pertamina also maintains the availability of lubricants at Industrial refueling station (SPBI), as well as facility distribution in 114 fuel terminals (TBBM) and 23 LPG terminals.

In serving the needs of the community, PT Pertamina also provides additional fuel and LPG services such as 148 units of stand-by tank cars, 23 units of pertashop, 193 motorists, 2 mobile dispenser points, and 48,207 LPG agent points and stand-by LPG outlets, as well as cashless payment at all gas station service points.
