President Prabowo Subianto inspected the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Palmerah, Jakarta, firsthand on Tuesday (06/02). The visit was part of the Government’s efforts to ensure that the facilities, operational systems, and supporting supply chains for the implementation of national nutrition program meet the designated standards.

President Prabowo arrived at around 09:30 a.m. western Indonesian time and was welcomed by Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana and the Head of the Palmerah SPPG.

The Head of State further inspected the greenhouse area, which is part of the supporting system for storing nutritious food supplies. At that location, President Prabowo was briefed on the management and utilization of the facilities designed to support the sustainable supply of food ingredients for the nutrition program.

From the greenhouse area, the Head of State proceeded to inspect the hydroponic and biofloc fish farming facilities. Both facilities serve as examples of an integrated approach to supporting the need for healthy, high-quality, and sustainable food.

President Prabowo further inspected the SPPG’s main kitchen, which serves as the nutritious meal production hub. Before entering the kitchen area, the Head of State donned personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards. Inside the kitchen, President Prabowo observed in person the food production line—ranging from raw material preparation and cooking process to the meal packaging distributed to the beneficiaries.

This inspection reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring an integrated implementation of the entire operation of nutrition fulfillment program, from food supply provision to the serving of nutritious meals. Through the support of various supporting facilities and good governance, the Government expects that the nutrition fulfillment program can provide optimal benefits for the quality improvement of Indonesia’s human resources.  (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (NST/TM)
