Ensuring Swift Recovery, President Prabowo Inspects Bailey Bridge Padang Mantuang in Padang Pariaman

After inspecting disaster-affected locations in Agam regency, President Prabowo Subianto continued his series of working visits in West Sumatra province by inspecting the construction of the Bailey Bridge Padang Mantuang, Padang Pariaman regency on Thursday (12/18). The visit was carried out as part of the Government’s efforts to ensure the acceleration of vital infrastructure recovery post-disaster.

The Bailey Bridge Padang Mantuang is an access connector for Padang Mantuang Road in Nagari Kayu Tanam, 2×11 Kayu Tanam Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman regency, which was affected by the disaster. This bridge is being built to restore connectivity between regions and support the smooth activities and mobility of local communities.

The construction of the Bailey Bridge began on December 10, 2025. The bridge has a width of 3.9 meters with a length of 30 meters or consisting of 10 panels. The President directly inspected the construction progress in the field to ensure the work is proceeding according to plan and can soon be utilized by the people.

During the inspection, the President also received detailed reports from the regional government regarding other infrastructure damages, including damage to dams and residents’ rice fields.

“We will repair the rice fields and the irrigation,” said the President.
In between inspecting the bridge construction, President Prabowo Subianto also took the time to greet the residents living around the disaster-affected location to directly listen to the conditions and needs of the people.

Through this inspection, President Prabowo reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to continue accelerating infrastructure recovery in disaster-affected areas. The President expressed hope that the presence of the Bailey Bridge Padang Mantuang can soon restore connectivity, smooth community mobility, and support the recovery of economic and social activities for residents in Padang Pariaman regency and surrounding areas.
