Evacuation Team Flies to Hubei, President Jokowi Says

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, through his official Twitter account @Jokowi on 1 February, stated that Indonesia’s evacuation team is on its way to Hubei Province of the People’s Republic of China.

“As many as 245 Indonesians in Hubei Province have also reached the evacuation point. They are all healthy and happy to be back,” President Jokowi said in his tweet.

The President also asked all people of Indonesia to pray for the evacuation team, Indonesian citizens in Hubei Province, and Indonesia.

“Before returning to the country, a series of health checks will be carried out once more to ensure that they are in good health,” the tweet reads.

Likewise, upon arrival in Indonesia, the President said in his tweet, the Indonesian citizens will undergo observation process according to the health protocol, before returning to their families.

“This evacuation mission is very noble, (this mission) will be carried out with full discipline,” it reads.

During the evacuation mission, the President also said in his tweet, the Indonesian Government also sent various equipment to the Chinese Government through the Hubei Charity Foundation, including masks and surgical units. (EN)
