President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assesses that the progress in the border roads construction in  Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Trans Papua is truly uplifting. As of August 2015 showed progress.

“The progress of border roads construction in Kalimantan, NTT and Trans Papua, exhilarating,” wrote President Jokowi through his twitter account @Jokowi that uploaded on Thursday (27/8) some time ago.

While through the facebook fan page were also uploaded on Thursday (27/8) a while ago, President Jokowi conveys that the Kalimantan border roads along the 771.36 kilometer (Km), stretching from West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan to East Kalimantan.

“As of August 2015, the roads which have been asphalted 188.37 km, and roads that are already functional as a throughway 441.70 Km,” Jokowi said.

As for the border of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) along 171.56 Km. until the end of 2015 is targeted along 47 Km, 2016 along 67.61 km, and 2017 is the final settlement along the 56.95 km.

While the Trans Papua road along 4,325 Km. “Until now the paved road has reached 2,075 Km. Trans Papua road will be completed in 2019,” President Jokowi said.

The total budget allocated by the government during the year 2015 to the border roads of Kalimantan, NTT, and Papua, according to the President Jokowi, reach Rp 2 trillion.

The construction along the border road infrastructure, President Jokowi continued, is intended to facilitate the movement and relations between regions.

“The People will enjoy lower costs due to the cost efficiency of transportation logistics. The border area is the front yard of Indonesia,” President Jokowi said. (ES)
