Finance Minister Invites Public to File 2023 Annual Tax Return on Time

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has invited the public to file the 2023 Annual Tax Return (SPT) for Individual Taxpayers in a timely manner.

Based on Law on General Provisions and Tax Procedures, the deadline for submitting the 2023 Annual Tax Return for Individual Taxpayers is on March 31, 2024.

“There are still nine days remaining and it can be filed online, so there is no need to go to the tax office,” the Minister said at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (03/22).

The Minister disclosed that as of Thursday (03/21) at 23.00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the number of individual tax return filings has reached 9.6 million taxpayers, an increase of 7.7 percent from the previous year.

“The increase is by 686,980 tax returns. Last year, at the same time, the figure was 8,914,061 tax returns,” she said.

On the occasion, the Minister also expressed her appreciation to all taxpayers who have filed their tax returns.

“Ministry of Finance, Directorate General of Taxes would like to thank all individuals who have fulfilled their SPT obligations especially those whose income is above the non-taxable income threshold,” she said. (FID/UN) (FI/MMB)
