First Lady Iriana Carries Out OASE KIM Programs in S. Sumatra

First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo accompanied by spouse of Vice President Wury Ma’ruf Amin and a number of Solidarity Act Organization of Onward Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) members headed to South Sumatra province to carry out several programs.

Aboard the Indonesian Air Force Aircraft Boeing 737-400, the First Lady and her entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, Thursday (11/24), at around 07.00 Western Indonesia Time.

Upon arrival at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang city, the First Lady and the entourage visited Asuhan Bunda II early childhood education center (PAUD) to disseminate ways to separate waste and wash hands with soap to the children, as well as to join them in playing and learning activities.

Afterwards, they are slated to plant trees at the official residence of South Sumatra Governor and observe trainings of woven and bamboo handicraft.

On that occasion, the First Lady and her entourage are also scheduled to visit a handicraft exhibition from South Sumatra National Handicrafts Council (Dekranasda) and conduct dissemination about digital literacy and anti-drugs at the Sultan Convention Center before returning to Jakarta.  (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT)(RAS/LW)
