First Lady Iriana Jokowi Has Tea with China’s First Lady

First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo joined the First Lady of People’s Republic of China (PRC) Madam Peng Liyuan for tea at Jinnui Hotel in Chengdu city, PRC, Thursday (07/28).

Before heading to the tea party location, Madam Peng showed and explained several collections of vase and fabric displayed in the hotel to First Lady Iriana.

On that occasion, First Lady Iriana also watched the brewing of green tea and painted on a tea bowl.

Upon arrival at the tea party, First Lady Iriana and Madam Peng who donned matching cream-colored dresses sat side by side while conversing and watching the tea-serving ceremony.

The First Ladies had tea for approximately 30 minutes, then they continued their activities to attend dinner with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping. (BPMI SETPRES/UN) (DH/MMB)
