First Lady Officially Opens 2023 Kriyanusa Crafts Exhibition
First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi Wednesday (09/13) officially opened the 2023 Kriyanusa Crafts Exhibition held in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta. The exhibition was an annual event held by the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) to promote craft products from all regions in Indonesia.
“Bismillahhirahmanirrahim, I officially open the 2023 Kriyanusa Crafts Exhibition” the First Lady said.
On this occasion, the First Lady and Chief of the National Crafts Council Wury Ma’ruf Amin also directly handed over awards to the winners of the Dekranas Award.
In addition, the Chair of the Exhibition Committee Sri Suparni Bahlil expressed that the exhibition held on 13-17 September 2023 was an effort to develop capacity of craft business players.
“This exhibition is a concrete effort by the National Crafts Council for craft business player development aimed to support local craft product creation and development and preserve the cultural image of all regions in Indonesia” Sri Suparni said.
Sri also stated that the exhibition showcased 307 stands from the provincial, regency/municipality, and ministries/institutions of Regional Crafts Council. She said that the exhibition featured a national competition aimed to develop and showcase Indonesia’s best products.
“In particular, it can broaden the perspectives of business players toward the latest design development according to market demands” Sri said.
During the exhibition, the First Lady and members of Solidarity Act Organization of the Onward Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE-KIM) watched performances from the Jakarta Regional Craft Council, Lenggang Pesona Jakarta dance, song performances, and Indonesian-themed fashion show.
