President Jokowi meets the third President of Indonesia B.J. Habibie some time ago

Health condition of the third President B.J. Habibie is getting better. On Saturdday, (10/3), President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo received the last report from the team of presidential doctors regarding the latest condition of the former President.

For the record, at the moment, B.J. Habibie still receives treatment in Munich, Germany. He experienced asphyxia on 27 February and was taken to a hospital in Munich.<>

Since 4 March 2018, one of presidential doctor, Prof. Dr. Lukman Hakim Makmun, Sp.PD, KKV(K) involved in the treatment of B.J. Habibie. He is a cardiologist of the team of presidential doctors.

This team has diagnosed that there is minor valve regurgitation, however it does not need an invasive treatment yet. The Head of Presidential Doctor Prof. Dr. H. Azis Rani, Sp. PD, K-GEH said that the former President receives treatment and takes medicines intensively, and the problem of asphyxia is closely monitored.

The general condition and respiration are also getting better. There is no emergency condition, nutrition problem, etc. B.J. Habibie is planned to still receive treatment for several days.

President Jokowi hoped that the former President can regain his health and do his activities like before. When he called B.J. Habibie on 4 March, he had a conversation and prayed for his recovery.

“All Indonesian people pray for your recovery so you can regain your health, can do your daily activities, and come back to Indonesia,” President Jokowi said. (BPMI/EN) (MMB/YM/Naster)
