From Islamabad, President Prabowo Arrives in Moscow

President Prabowo Subianto, on Wednesday (12/10), arrived in Moscow, Russia at 10.50 a.m. local time. The Garuda Indonesia-1 presidential plane carrying the Head of State along with his delegates landed at Vnukovo-2 Airport after traveling from Islamabad, Pakistan.
Welcoming President Prabowo at the bottom of the plane steps were Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Chief of State Protocol at the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Prusov, Deputy Director of the Third Department of Asia at the Russian Foreign Ministry Pavel Klabukov, Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, and Defense Attaché in Moscow First Marshal Budi Susilo.
In Moscow, President Prabowo is slated to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace. The meeting between the two leaders will focus on issues related to further development of the strategic partnership between Russia and Indonesia, as well as several current international and regional issues.
For the record, this is the second meeting between President Prabowo and President Putin this year. During their previous meeting in Saint Petersburg on June 19, 2025, the two leaders affirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the Indonesia-Russia strategic partnership.
