From Jambi, President Jokowi Leave for Palangkaraya

President Jokowi accompanied by Coordinating Minister of PMI, and Minister of Health handed KIS to Suku Anak Dalam, in Sarolangun District, Jambi, Friday (30/10).

After being on the Sumatra Island for 3 days, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana as well as the entourage proceeded towards Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, on Saturday (31/10) morning.

Communication Team of the President, Ari Dwipayana, in a press release Saturday (31/10) morning conveyed, upon his arrival in Palangkaraya around 11:00 pm, President Jokowi and the entourage is scheduled to go directly to one primary school in Palangkaraya.

“In the afternoon, the President and the entourage will head to the Peat lands in the Pulang Pisau District, Central Kalimantan,” Ari said.

Ari said that the peat land District of Pulang Pisau, have ever been visited by the President on 25 September 2015 ago. When visiting, it is happening of the fire in the land, the President witnessed the difficulty of extinguish of the fire in the peat land. “That needs to be done is the development of canals blocking,” said the President at that time.

For that reason, the President return for visiting to Peat land of Pulang Pisau District to make sure, whether it has made the manufacture of insulated channel.

After monitoring the development of the manufacture of insulated canal, the President will return to Jakarta and is expected to arrive in the Halim Air Force Base at 18:00.

Accompanying the President in this visit, among other, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Minister of Education and Culture Anies Baswedan, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimulyono, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung, Chief Staf of  President Teten Masduki and Head of BNPB Wilem Rampangilei..
