Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung accompanied by Coordinating Minister for the Economy announces the 11th Economic Policy Package, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/3) afternoon

The Government launched the 11th Economic Policy Package that was announced by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/3) afternoon.

“We are going to launch 4 points of the policy package today,” Pramono Anung said during the launching of the 11th Economic Policy Package, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/3) afternoon.

Pramono mentioned that there are four points as the main focus of the policy package. First,   Export Oriented Smallholder Business Credit (KURBE) which provides a complete and integrated export financing facilities for working capital and investment for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).

Second, to issue a low-costed Real Estate Investment Fund (DIRE) in order to increase the efficiency in providing long-term investment fund to support the acceleration of infrastructure and housing development in accordance with the 2015-2019 Indonesia’s National Medium-Term Development Plan.

Third, Risk Control to accelerate flow of goods at the port (Indonesian Single Risk Management/ISRM) which is accelerating services on import/export that could lead to business certainty, efficiency in time and permit cost, as well as to shorten dwelling time by increasing the effectiveness of supervision through an integrated risk management among the related ministries/institutions.

Fourth, the Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Industries to ensure the availability of pharmaceutical and medical equipment products as an effort to increase health services quality in order to manifest National Health Insurance (JKN) and promote affordable price of medicines in the country.

“The Policy Package is announced to follow up the Government’s main focus that was delivered by the President, namely deregulation and infrastructures,” Pramono firmly said.

Through the package, Pramono added, national business sectors, both UMKM and large scale businesses, are expected to be more competitive. “The Government will provide ease of doing business that could make business doers have a more competent, healthy, and efficient business. The package is expected to bring great benefits to UMKM and business sectors,” Pramono concluded. (FID/JAY/ES)(RAS/MMB/YM/Naster)
