Concerning the arrest of high-ranking officials in sting operation by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung ensured that the Government will not protect him/her. Even the Government, the Cabinet Secretary further said, will immediately take an action over that official.

“Should anyone arrested in a sting operation, the Government will not protect him/her, and the concerned person will get fired,” Pramono said responding to the journalists’ questions after delivering his scientific oration at the 85th Graduation Ceremony Period III of 2017 for Diploma, Graduate, and Post Graduate Programs at Muhammadiyah Malang University, East Java, Saturday (26/8).

This statement was conveyed by Cabinet Secretary to respond the journalists’ questions concerning the arrest of Directorate General of Sea Transportation Antonius Tonny Budiono, who was caught in a sting operation, last Thursday (24/8).
