Govt Allocates Rp187 Trillion Village Fund Since 2015
The Indonesian Government has disbursed Rp187 trillion for Village Fund program since the implementation of the program four years ago, President Joko Jokowi Widodo has said.
The Government has disbursed Rp 187 trillion for Village Fund program in four years. It is an enormous amount of money, President Jokowi said during the 2018 Development Policy Evaluation and Empowerment of Village Community event held in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Saturday (22/12).
In the first year of Village Fund program in 2015, according to the President, the budget was set at Rp20.7 trillion and in the following year, the budget was more than Rp 47 trillion and the figures increased to Rp 60 trillion in 2017 and 2018, the President said.
In the event attended by 1,300 village fund assistants, 2,200 village heads and nearly 1,200 village cadres from South Sulawesi province, President Jokowi explained that the fund was spent to build a number of village infrastructures and facilities, among others 158 thousand kilometers of village roads, 18,400 integrated health posts (Posyandu), 48,000 early childhood schools (PAUD) and 6,900 village markets.
There are numerous public facilities and infrastructures that have been built by using the village funds, such as schools, markets, bridges, irrigation channels, reservoirs, clean water systems and village enterprises, the President said.
