The Government has renewed its commitment to maintaining the political and security conditions at home to ensure they remain conducive.

“I will engage in consolidation with relevant ministries/institutions to sustain the current favorable and conducive conditions, ensuring their continuity,” the newly inaugurated Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (02/21).

According to the Minister, he has had a discussion with Chief of the National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Force (TNI) Agus Subiyanto regarding measures to maintain the conducive political and security environment following the democratic general election on February 14, 2024.

“TNI and Polri serve as the frontline defenders in safeguarding the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. I will be committed in this endeavor by coordinating closely with the TNI Commander and National Police Chief,” he said.

The Minister also called on the nation to join in preserving a conducive situation within the country.

“Fostering and upholding unity is a collective responsibility that requires mutual support from all sectors,” he said.

In the meantime, the newly inaugurated Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR)/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhono reaffirmed his commitment to implementing priority programs within the Ministry.

These initiatives, he added, include the extensive issuance of electronic land certificates and achieving the goal of registering 120 million land plots through comprehensive systematic land registration.

“This is a responsibility that, insya Allah, I will fulfill to the best of my ability. Although I acknowledge that the timeframe is relatively short – around eight months – I firmly believe that within any duration, we can strive to achieve the utmost for the welfare of society and the nation,” the Minister remarked.
