Gov’t Confirms 2 More Covid-19 Cases

Secretary of the Directorate General of Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health Achmad Yurianto, as the Spokesperson for the handling of coronavirus in Indonesia, confirmed that another two coronavirus (Covid-19) suspected patients have tested positive for the disease as of Sunday (8/3).

“The first person to be referred as case 05 is a 55-year-old man who is part of the Jakarta cluster,” Yurianto said in a press release, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta (8/3).

He went on to say that the second person to be referred as case 06 is a 36-year-old man who is infected with the virus when he worked as a crew member of the virus-stricken Diamond Princess Cruise Ship.

“Both patients are stable and do not require oxygen or IV fluids. They are fully conscious, don’t have a fever, cough, or runny nose,” he said adding that both men are in good condition. (TGH/EN)
