Gov’t Confirms Presidential Decree on State Financial Emergency is Hoax

Ministry of State Secretariat confirmed that Presidential Decree on declaration of state financial emergency circulating on social media is a hoax.

“Regarding the circulation of Presidential Decree on declaration of state financial emergency dated 17 March 2021 which stated that funds from Bank Indonesia Certificates (080264)-24 SD to be used to finance the development and to improve people’s welfare, and stipulated a state financial emergency, we hereby confirmed that the news/information is untrue (hoax),” Head of Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Eddy Cahyono Sugiarto, stated, on Sunday (4/4).
