Gov’t Disburses Rp 377.5 Trillion Budget for Economic Recovery This Year

As of September 10, 2021, the Government has disbursed Rp 377.5 trillion of this year’s National Economic Recovery Program budget.

“The realization of National Economic Recovery Program has reached 50.7 percent of the Rp 744.77 trillion total budget,” Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said in a press conference, Monday (13/09).

According to him, significant progress has been made in social protection sector and health sector, with disbursement in health sector increasing from Rp 47.71 trillion in the second quarter to Rp 93.45 trillion and disbursement in social sector increasing from Rp 66.43 trillion in the second quarter to Rp 108.16 trillion.

“For priority programs, the disbursement increased from Rp 41.83 trillion in the second quarter to Rp 58.04 trillion, the disbursement in MSMEs and corporate support increased from Rp 51.27 trillion in the second quarter to Rp 59.93 trillion, while business incentive increased from Rp 45.07 trillion in the second quarter to Rp 57.92 trillion,” he said.

Regarding the pre-employment card program, he added, the total number of registrants have reached 69.7 million people from 34 provinces and 514 regencies/cities.

“In 2021, we had 4.3 million beneficiaries from batch 12 to batch 19, 3.2 million beneficiaries have completed training, 3,040,724 beneficiaries have received allowance, and the total allowance is Rp 6.82 trillion,” Airlangga stated.

The Minister went on to say that the Government has also disbursed wage subsidy to 3.4 million workers as of September 10, 2021, with each worker receiving Rp 1 million.

As of September 10, 2021, Airlangga added, the Government has disbursed Rp 15.25 trillion of Presidential assistance for micro enterprises (BPUM) for 12.71 million beneficiaries.

“The Government has also started distributing cash assistance for street vendors and kiosks (BT-PKLW). The assistance will be disbursed to 1 million street vendors and kiosk owners and every beneficiary will receive Rp 1.2 million,” Airlangga remarked. (FID/UN) (RI/EP)
