Gov’t Disburses Rp24.22 Billion Incentives for Health Workers as of April

As a token of appreciation, the Government has announced it allocates Rp3.7 trillion of budget to provide incentives for 99,660 health workers on the front lines in handling COVID-19 patients.

The incentives, which are sourced from Additional Operational Health Aid (BOK), will be gradually provided for the health workers based on the recommendations of Ministry of Health.

The budget is regulated in Decision of Minister of Health Number 13/KM.7/2020 on Allocation Details of the Additional Operational Health Aid (BOK) and Procedures in Managing Reserve Fund of Budget Year 2020.

Based on data of March and April 2020, the Government has disbursed Rp24.22 billion of incentives to 6,586 health workers in 39 regional governments, consisting of 49 specialists, 41 general practitioners/dentists, 246 midwives/nurses, and 6,250 other health workers.

The next disbursement will be done after receiving recommendation from Ministry of Health on the latest data about health workers in several regions that will be regulated in the revision to Decision of Minister of Health Number 13/KM.7/2020. (Ministry of Finance/EN)
