As part of the working visit in North Maluku province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (24/3/2021) inspected COVID-19 mass vaccination at Kao sub-district office in the province to ensure that COVID-19 vaccination is evenly distributed all over Indonesia.

“Why do I visit this sub-district? (Because) I want to ensure that the COVID-19 vaccination is evenly distributed all over Indonesia, to outermost regions of the county, to every corner of the country,” the President said.

For the record, as many as 100 people participated in the vaccination.

According to the President, 100 people, which consist of civil servants, farmers, and market traders, will get vaccinated every day in Kao sub-district, which is home to around 9.400 people.

The President expressed belief that if every region implements mass vaccination, the spread of COVID-19 can be curbed.

Joining the President during the visit were Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and Governor of North Maluku province Abdul Gani Kasuba.
