Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Head of the Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, delivers a press statement in the Cabinet Meeting Room, at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (06/02).

President Prabowo Subianto replaced the Head of National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as efforts to strengthen the institution and improve the service quality of national priority programs. Despite the leadership change, the Government ensured that all BGN programs and services, especially the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, would continue to provide services to the public optimally.

This statement was conveyed by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Head of the Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, in a press statement in the Cabinet Meeting Room, at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (06/02).

Minister Prasetyo emphasized that the Government continues to evaluate the implementation of various national strategic programs, including those under the BGN. However, this evaluation process must not disrupt the running services provided to the public.

“The Government will ensure that during the ongoing evaluation process, all programs under BGN will keep running well. Services to the public must not be disrupted in any way, and each work unit within the BGN is expected to carry out their duties in accordance with their respective responsibilities,” he said.

The Minister added that the change of BGN head is the Government action to improve and reinforce the organization, ensuring that the implemented programs by BGN can be more effective and on-target. Therefore, the Government affirmed that the replacement will not affect the commitment to implementing the MBG program as one of President Prabowo’s priority programs.

“The Government reaffirms that the change in this leadership will not disrupt our commitment to implementing the free nutritious meal program under the BGN supervision,” the Minister stated.

In his statement, Minister Prasetyo expressed hope that institution reinforcement would be a good start to improving the service quality of the MBG to the public. The program plays a strategic role in supporting the development of Indonesia’s human resources as well as driving the national economy.

“Hopefully, this measure will be a good start to strengthening the MBG program’s services so that it can run optimally, as part of our investment in education and human resources,” the Minister concluded.

The organizational reinforcement and program continuity give confidence to the Government that the MBG program will become more effective to develop excellent human resources towards 2045 Golden Indonesia. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (JAS/MMB)
