The Government has formulated comprehensive and measurable steps to accelerate the 11 points improvement of EODB (Ease of Doing Business), Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia has said.

“President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is targeting our EODB rank to jump from rank 73 to 40,” Bahlil told reporters after attending a Limited Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/2).

Bahlil cited an example of building construction permit (IMB) process is reduced to 54 days, from previously 191, and cut the process cost from Rp121 million to Rp40 million.

“That is one of examples of improvement that we have made,” he said, adding that the improvement has simplified requirements and time spent.

The Head of BKPM has set a target to raise Indonesia’s EoDB rank to rank 50 next year and reach 40th place by 2023. (TGH/EN)
