Indonesian furniture, wood products and rattan will have good export opportunities in the future, according to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

“I have received very detailed information from the World Bank that furniture, wood and rattan products have a great opportunity to enter foreign markets,” President Jokowi said in his remarks at the Limited Cabinet Meeting on Increasing Exports of Furniture, Rattan and Wood Products at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/9).

Nevertheless, the President said he expected concrete actions and policies from related ministries to provide support for the opportunities so they can be realized.

“The opportunities are enormous since the market was once filled by China and was then abandoned following the trade war,” President Jokowi added. (FID/AGG/ES)
