The Government has announced it will provide state capital participation for state-owned construction company PT Hutama Karya to strengthen the company’s capital structure and business capacity.

The state capital participation is also needed to assist the company’s task to accelerate toll road construction in the island of Sumatra.

Based on this consideration, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on 6 September 2019 signed Government Regulation Number 61 of 2019 on Additional Allocation of State Capital Participation of the Republic of Indonesia for State-owned Construction Company PT Hutama Karya.

“The additional state capital participation amounts to Rp10.500.000.000.000,00 (ten trillion five billion rupiah) and is sourced from the 2019 State Budget,” Article 2 paragraph (1) of the regulation reads.

This Government Regulation shall apply as of the date of its promulgation on 12 September 2019 and was stipulated by Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly. (Pusdatin/ES)
