Gov’t Issues 2019 Hajj Pilgrimage Travel Fees

15marPresident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on 14 March 2019 has signed Presidential Decree Number 8 of 2019 on Hajj Pilgrimage Cost (BPIH) of 1440 Hijri/2019. The Decree regulates the amount of BPIH for regular pilgrims in every embarkation and the amount of BPIH for Regional Hajj Guide Team (TPHD).

The amount of BPIH of regular Hajj pilgrims based on embarkation point is as follows:

  1. Aceh: Rp30,881,010;
  2. Medan: Rp31,730,375;
  3. Batam: Rp32,306,450;
  4. Padang: Rp32,918,065;
  5. Palembang: Rp33,429,575;
  6. Jakarta (Pondok Gede): Rp34,987,280;
  7. Jakarta (Bekasi): Rp34,987,280;
  8. Solo: Rp36,429,275;
  9. Surabaya: Rp36,586,945;
  10. Banjarmasin: Rp37,885,084;
  11. Balikpapan: Rp38,259,345;
  12. Lombok: Rp38,454,405;
  13. Makassar: Rp39,207,741.

Meanwhile, the amount of BPIH for TPHD based on embarkation point is as follows:

  1. Aceh: Rp66,645,504;
  2. Medan: Rp67,363,504;
  3. Batam: Rp67,905,304;
  4. Padang: Rp68,363,504;
  5. Palembang: Rp68,566,804;
  6. Jakarta (Pondok Gede): Rp69,963,504;
  7. Jakarta (Bekasi): Rp69,963,504;
  8. Solo: Rp71,163,504;
  9. Surabaya: Rp71,492,104;
  10. Banjarmasin: Rp72,118,504;
  11. Balikpapan: Rp72,243,504;
  12. Lombok: Rp72,523,504;
  13. Makassar: Rp73,543,504.

Since Presidential Decree has taken effect, prospective hajj pilgrims only need to pay the remaining hajj cost, according to Director of Haj Fund Management of Ministry of Religious Affairs Maman Saepulloh.

“The first payment will start from 19 March and end on 15 April 2019, while the second payment to start from 30 April and end on 10 May 2019. The payment must use Indonesian Rupiah,” Maman firmly said.

The Director asserted that the funds are deposited to the BPKH bank account at the Partner Banks for the Hajj Fund Scheme (BPS-BPIH), either in cash or non-teller.

“Directorate General for Hajj and Umrah Management has released a list of prospective regular Hajj pilgrims who are entitled to pay the remaining Hajj Pilgrimage Cost. In the event a prospective pilgrim passes away after being determined to be able to pay the remaining hajj cost, he/she can be replaced by his/her families in accordance with the provisions,” Maman conclued.
