Gov’t Launches Independence Day Official Logo

The Government on Monday (06/29) officially launched the logo and visual identity of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Presidential Palace compound, Jakarta. The chosen logo which was created by Fajar Novario from Padang city, West Sumatra province, successfully interpreted the theme for this year’s independence day anniversary, namely Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia.
“The logo created by Mr. Fajar Novario received 44.73 percent of the total votes. Once again, congratulations to Mr. Fajar Novario. Your creation was chosen as the official logo of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia,” Vice Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardianto said.
According to him, the design of the chosen logo showed strong philosophy and showcased the diversity of Indonesia’s traditional patterns.
“In the diversity, we can see one unifying pattern, reflecting diversity is the foundation in realizing a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia,” he added.
On that occasion, the Vice Minister expressed his appreciation to active participation of the public in casting their votes to choose the official independence day’s logo through public voting mechanism. Moreover, he also invited the public to participate in the commemoration of this year’s Independence Day anniversary.
“The President expected the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia belongs to all Indonesians. He invited the public to take active participation and roles in commemorating this year’s Independence Day anniversary,” he said, adding that people is encouraged to raise the Red and White flag in front of their houses, schools, offices, and public space.
The Government also called on the public to promote and use the official logo in various media, for instance on banners, merchandise, billboards, or social media platforms.
