The Government has announced that the Bill on the Accountability for the Implementation of the State Budget (P2APBN) for 2020 Fiscal Year has been enacted into law.

The enactment of the Bill reflects the Government’s responsibility to the public in using the State Budget. The Government always acts in accordance with the laws and regulations while still maintaining the accountability of the State Budget. It is demonstrated by the success of obtaining the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) status for the Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) of 2020 from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

“Though we face difficult situations and extraordinary challenges, the Government always maintains its commitment to manage the State Budget properly and continues to follow up on the recommendations from the BPK and the House of Representatives (DPR) on the Investigative Audit Reports (LHP) in order to improve the State Budget’s management to be more effective, comprehensive, and in accordance with the laws and regulations,” Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said when delivering the Government’s Final Opinion on the Bill of the P2APBN for 2020 Fiscal Year at the Plenary Meeting of the DPR in Jakarta (07/09/2021).

With the WTP status that has been obtained, Sri added, the Government will continue to make improvements through intensive synergy and coordination among government ministries/institutions as well as the BPK and assists all ministries/institutions in order to improve the quality of state financial management. (PR of Ministry of Finance/UN) (AP/MBB)
