Gov’t Provides Capital Assistance for MSEs during COVID-19 Pandemic

The Government provides working capital assistance for micro and small-sized enterprises during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I hope this assistance can increase your business and sales volume,” President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said at the distribution of working capital assistance, at the Merdeka Palace Yard, Jakarta, Monday (13/7).

The President said that he will evaluate the results in 3 or 4 months and expressed hope that the situation can return to normal at that time. He called on entrepreneurs to always work hard despite this challenging time.

“Keep your spirits up because we all must face this condition,” President Jokowi added.

According to the President, capital assistance that will be provided is amounting to Rp2.4 million that can be used as an additional or emergency capital for business.

Also on that occasion, he asserted that the capital assistance program has just distributed starting today and is expected to be able to reach millions of small businesses.
