President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to continuously combat corruption, fraud, and practices that undermine the country’s wealth. To that end, the Head of State expressed appreciation to the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) for their continued work to safeguard national wealth.

“I would like to express my gratitude for the hard work of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force. I understand and fully realize that the challenges you face are not easy,” the President stated in his remarks at the Attorney General’s Office complex in Jakarta, on Tuesday (10/06).

According to the President, the Government’s efforts to curb various practices that harm the state will inevitably encounter resistance from parties profiting from such wrongdoing. Nevertheless, the President emphasized that the Government will not give up defending truth, justice, and the interests of the people.

“The choice lies within ourselves. Do we have the courage to choose the path of truth? Or will we surrender to those driven by greed? Those who are disloyal to this nation? Those who hold the people in contempt? Those who work to keep Indonesia poor, even though we are an immensely wealthy country?” he stated.

The President also acknowledged the threats and intimidation faced by several task force personnel, including threats against their families. Therefore, the Head of State expressed his appreciation for the personnel who have remained steadfast in carrying out their duties despite facing various forms of pressure.

“I thank those who are still willing to fight alongside me. To fight for our people. To fight for those who cannot speak up. Those who have nothing,” the President said.

“Have faith that truth will prevail, that we are on the right path. We will not waver,” he added.

On the occasion, the President also highlighted bribery attempts targeting state officials, which remain a challenge in institutional reform. The Head of State stressed that efforts to bring improvements will continue to be pursued through persuasive approaches.

“We seek to make improvements through persuasive approaches, through moral guidance—guidance of truth, guidance of nationhood—through dialogue and persuasion. Wherever I am invited, you certainly know what message I would like to convey. Ministers who attend meetings with me would already know my stance, my resolve, and my determination,” he concluded.
