Gov’t Recovers Rp13.25 Trillion from CPO Corruption Case

President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the handover of state loss recovery funds worth Rp13,255,244,538,149.00 in the corruption case pertaining to the granting of export facilities for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and its derivatives, from the Attorney General’s Office to the Ministry of Finance. The event was held at the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office compound, Jakarta, Monday (10/20).
In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed high appreciation and gratitude to all ranks of the Attorney General’s Office for their hard work and commitment to combating corruption. He said that the occasion is an important step in strengthening integrity and enforcing economic justice in Indonesia.
“I express my gratitude and appreciation to all ranks, especially the Attorney General’s Office, who have worked hard to act against corruption, manipulation, and irregularities,” said President Prabowo.
On that occasion, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin reported on the results of the law enforcement and the state loss recovery in the corruption case in the CPO export sector. He emphasized that this case involved several large corporations, namely Wilmar Group, Musim Mas Group, and Permata Hijau Group, with total economic losses to the state reaching Rp17 trillion.
“The Attorney General’s Office has prosecuted the corporate groups Wilmar Group, Musim Mas Group, and Permata Hijau Group. Total economic losses to the state reached Rp17 trillion and today we will hand over Rp13.255 trillion,” Burhanuddin explained.
Furthermore, the Attorney General stated that the remaining Rp4.4 trillion will be paid through a deferral mechanism with company asset guarantees. He also affirmed that the Attorney General’s Office’s actions in recovering state losses are part of efforts to enforce economic justice for the welfare of the people.
“The Attorney General’s Office, in revealing and recovering state losses, is making great efforts to enforce economic justice, all dedicated solely to the prosperity of the people,” said Burhanuddin.
This event became an important moment that demonstrates the Government’s seriousness in enforcing the law and recovering state finances from criminal corruption. (BPMI) (EST/TM)
