Gov’t Reschedules Civil Servant Candidates Test Amidst Coronavirus Cases

The Government has officially announced the postponement of the recruitment process of Civil Servants Candidates (CPNS) amidst coronavirus outbreak.

“The Competency Test (SKB), which is planned to take place from 25 March 2020, will be postponed until the further policy is made by the National Selection Committee (Panselnas),” Acting Head of Public Relations Bureau of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Paryono said in a press release on Tuesday (17/3).

The postponement, he added, is based on the recent situation related to the coronavirus outbreak, which has been declared a national disaster.

“However, the announcement of the results of the General Test (SKD) will continue to be carried out in accordance with the schedule set, namely on 22-23 March 2020 through the official websites of the Government Agencies,” Paryono said.

The participants who passed the General Test are expected to keep monitoring the website/social media of the respective Government Agency to get the information for the Competency Test.

For the record, the policy is issued by the National Selection Committee through the Circular of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms Number B/318/M.SM.01.00/2020 dated 17 March 2020 on the Postponement of the Competency Test for the 2019 Recruitment Process of Civil Servants Candidates, with reference to Regulation of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms Number 23 of 2019 on Criteria for Determining the Job Vacancies of Civil Servants and Implementation of the 2019 Recruitment Process of Civil Servants Candidates, and Circular of the Head of the BKN Number K 26-30/V205-4/99 on the Schedule for the Implementation of the 2019 Recruitment Process of Civil Servants Candidates.

The Central and Regional Government Agencies that have determined the schedule of the Competency Test and have prepared the facilities/infrastructure for the test should coordinate with The National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) and the Directorate General for Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with Government Regulation on Procurement of Goods and Services.
