Gov’t Sets Up Hotline to Monitor Subsidized Cooking Oil Distribution

The Government has set up a hotline to monitor the implementation of subsidized cooking oil program, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi has stated.

“We are ready to provide assistance for everyone and ensure smooth implementation of the subsidized cooking oil program. In the event that you have any problems or you need to submit a complaint, you can contact the hotline that we provide,” Lutfi said in his written statement on Friday (01/21).

The 24-hour hotline can be accessed via Whatsapp instant messaging at 0812 1235 9337, electronic mail hotlinemigor@kemendag.go.id, or Zoom video conference with ID 969 0729 1086 (password: migor).

Lutfi said that Ministry of Trade also closely monitors all modern retail in 34 provinces to ensure the smooth implementation of the subsidized cooking oil program.

The Minister also said that the Government is committed to ensuring the availability of the subsidized cooking oil at traditional markets.

“Providing packaged cooking oil through retail stores is implemented in an early stage of the program. The next step is that we will ensure that packaged cooking oil with a fixed price of Rp14,000 per liter is available in traditional markets across Indonesia,” he said.

The Minister also extended his appreciation to all stakeholders who have supported the implementation of the policy, including producers, retail stores, the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (APRINDO), the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), agencies in charge of trade sector across Indonesia as well as all relevant ministries and agencies.
