Gov’t Strengthens Commitment to Enhancing Free Nutritious Meal Program through Building Indonesia’s Future Generations through Nutrition

The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program at the “Building Indonesia’s Future Generations through Nutrition” event held at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, on Wednesday (06/03).
President Prabowo Subianto attended the event, which aimed to improve national coordination, align the vision and actions of MBG program implementers, and ensure the program operates effectively and sustainably, leading to accurate distribution and maximum benefits for the people.
On that occasion, the President expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the implementation of the MBG program, adding that their dedication serves as a vital foundation for the strategic program aimed at improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources.
“Thank you once again for your service, especially in disadvantaged and remote locations. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your loyalty,” he remarked.
Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik Sudaryati Deyang pointed out that the event was attended by MBG program executors from the central to regional levels across Indonesia.
The event was attended by 12,173 people, comprising Heads of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Offices (KPPG), Regional Coordinators, Area Coordinators, and Heads of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) across Indonesia, as well as MBG program implementation partners.
“Among the participants joining us in this event are 20 Heads of KPPG, from 20 KPPG offices from Sabang to Merauke that are led by civil servants. Also joining us are Regional Coordinators of SPPG across Indonesia,” she said, adding that participants who attended the event in person were from the provinces of Special Region of Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.
“Also present here are all heads of the SPPG. There are also 5,873 partners in attendance,” she said.
With the support of more than 12,000 executors, the Government has affirmed that the MBG program is not only a food assistance program but also a grand strategy to develop human resources as Indonesia moves toward its 2045 Golden Generation goal through the provision of quality nutrition to all Indonesian children.
The event was also attended by a number of high-ranking state officials, namely, among others, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, several ministers of the Red-and-White Cabinet, several heads of state institutions, and Head of BGN Nanik Sudaryati.
