In order to reduce the gap ratio which is increasingly widening, the Government will soon issue a policy of economic equality which covers three things, namely, the agrarian reform and the redistribution of assets, granting access to capital, and vocational training. “We will allocate unproductive lands to the people in the form of small concessions for the people, cooperatives, customary lands so that the state asset is evenly distributed, and becomes a property right for the people in order to grant access to capital,” President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo said when giving a speech at the Inauguration of the Management of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of People’s Conscience (Hanura) Party, at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (22/2) morning.

Subsequently, in the second stage, according to the President, after the asset redistribution and agrarian reform, the Government will sign on access to capital. “And third, we are working on issues related to human resource development, that is, vocational trainings and vocational schools,” the President said.

President Jokowi believes that if we consistently carry it out, by 2045 – 100 years after its independence – Indonesia will have a population of approximately 309 million and our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is USD9.1 trillion or 10 times higher from the current one. “At that moment, if we consistently work like this, Indonesia will enter a golden century because we will become the top five largest economy in the world with an income per capita is approximately USD29 thousand. However, with one note, we work like this with the economic growth is above 5 percent,” the President said.

The President further added that the Government will continue to do so, and it is expected that what has been developed in the peripheries, the villages, and the borders can actually be continued.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also reminded all that when he attended the 10th Anniversary of Hanura Party one and a half months ago, he told about the changes at the Entikong Border Post in West Kalimantan. “I delivered at that time, if we look at the border post on the other side then if compared to our border post, ours is like a cage, now it has changed completely. I think our border post is three times better than our neighboring country’s. Well, that is the  picture. The same goes to the Motaain Border Post. It looks like a village office beforehand. Now, it has changed a lot,” the President said while showing a picture of the Entikong Border Post on the television screen.

President Jokowi asserted that the Government will continue to develop the airports and roads such as trans Kalimantan, trans Papua, toll road from Lampung to Aceh, so that our economy is getting better and people are increasingly prosperous.

The inauguration of the Management of DPP Hanura was also attended by the fifth President of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri as Chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) as Chairman of Golkar Party Setya Novanto, Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) as Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of Hanura Party Oesman Sapta, and Vice Governor of West Java Dedy Mizwar.
