As part of his working visit in Bali province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (14/6) inspected the revitalization of Muara reservoir in Nusa Dua, Denpasar, Bali.

According to the President, the construction of the Muara Reservoir is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year and it will be equipped with restaurants, tourist facilities, cafés and fishing grounds on the right-hand side.

“To date, the construction progress has reached 80 percent and we hope it will be completed later this year,” President Jokowi said.

The 35-hectare reservoir covering part of Denpasar City and Badung Regency has a capacity of water delivery of 500 liters per second and will be used as a source of raw water for Denpasar, Benoa, Nusa Dua regions and the area around Ngurah Rai Airport. The reservoir revitalization project itself uses a total budget of Rp205 billion. (AIT/AGG/ES)
