Gov’t to Speed Up Cash Assistance Distribution
The Government will continue to distribute cash assistance to beneficiaries across Indonesia, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has stated.
According to the President, the Government has distributed the assistance to 40 percent of the total target beneficiaries.
“Across Indonesia, 40 percent [of the beneficiaries] have received the assistance, while 60 percent [of the beneficiaries] have not received it. We will continue the distribution so that it can be immediately completed,” President Jokowi said after inspecting the distribution of cash assistance and basic necessities to participants of the Family Hope Program (PKH) at the Moa Sub-Branch Post Office, Southwest Maluku regency, Thursday (09/15).
The President also said that the Government would distribute cash assistance to all beneficiaries in remote areas of the country. The distribution of the cash assistance has started in Southwest Maluku regency, one of the outermost areas in Indonesia.
“We have started the distribution of cash assistance in Southwest Maluku regency, one of the outermost islands [in Indonesia], near Timor Leste and Australia,” the President said. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RI/MMB)
