Gov’t to Strengthen Economic Cooperation with Australia
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (07/04) revealed that the focus of his state visit to Australia is on strengthening economic cooperation.
“My visit to Australia this time will focus on strengthening economic cooperation, of which each of you will play an important part,” President Jokowi said in his first agenda in Australia held at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney.
On the occasion, Australian Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic said that cooperation between Indonesia and Australia can be further enhanced.
“We can increase collaborations to further strengthen the economy of both countries, including by improving people-to-people relations,” Ed Husic said.
In the meantime, Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Arsjad Rasjid said that in September, a group of Australian entrepreneurs will visit Indonesia.
