Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has unveiled the Government policy regarding the State Budget in support of the implementation of Emergency Activity Restrictions (Emergency PPKM).

Sri said that the Government has extended the cash transfer program (BST) for two months for the people affected by the implementation of the Emergency PPKM. For the record, the cash transfer program has been delivered to 9.6 million beneficiary families with a budget of Rp 11.94 trillion for the period of January to April with every recipient receiving Rp 300,000 per month. The two-month extension will be paid in July with the target of 10 million beneficiary families in 34 provinces.

“This two-month extension will require a budget of Rp 6.1 trillion. We will use the recipient group data from the January-April distribution. Hence, the total allocation for the program is Rp 18.04 trillion for January-April period plus the two-month extension,” the Minister said.

Sri went on to say that the Government will extend the electricity program stimulus until the third quarter with 50 percent discount for 450 VA customers and 25 percent discount for 900 VA customers.

The Government, she added, will also extend the assistance in electricity, especially for business, industrial and social customers with a target of 1.14 million customers until September. The discount will be reduced from 100 percent borne by the Government to 50 percent.

“For this extension, an additional Rp 420 billion-budget is needed. For the first semester, we have disbursed Rp 1.27 trillion so that the total budget until the third quarter will be Rp 1.69 trillion,” the Minister concluded. (PR Ministry of Finance/UN) (RI/MUR)
