Have Strategic Role, President Jokowi Asks for Strengthening Related Agencies

President Jokowi on one occasion leads a limited meeting

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assesses the role of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) and the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) very strategic in realizing the national interest. The role primarily in the areas of marine and marine safety, the war against drugs as well as the prevention of overcoming the threat of terrorism.

Therefore, the President said that it is necessary to implement concrete measures, tangible steps in order to strengthen in the three agencies that had been delivered i.e. BNN, Bakamla, and BNPT. “It is meant that the three institutions are able carry out their functions optimally,” the president said Jokowi, at time of initial introduction in the lead Limited Meeting this afternoon (21/9) starting at 14:00 pm at the Presidential Office, Jakarta.

Therefore, the President asked the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs to convey the real conditions existing and the importance of strengthening the institutional as well as concrete steps and real.

“Thus, all relevant institutions engaged focused on the same point, and what I said earlier we can really accomplish and people get benefits,” President Jokowi said as he ended his introduction.

The meeting attended by Coordinating Minister for Politics Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of  Justice Yasonna H. Laoly, Minister of State Secretary Praktikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and the Minister of PAN and RB Yuddy Chrisnandi. (EN/SLN/DID/AGG/ES)/Sy.
