Health Minister Declares Large-Scale Social Restrictions in Bogor, Depok, Bekasi

Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto on 11 April, 2020 issued Minister of Health Decree Number HK.01.07/MENKES/248/2020 on the Declaration of Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the areas of Bogor Regency, Bogor Municipality, Depok Municipality, Bekasi Regency, and Bekasi Municipality, West Java Province to Accelerate the COVID-19 Handling.

The Decree is issued due to a significant and rapid increase of COVID-19 cases and local transmission in Bogor Regency, Bogor Municipality, Depok Municipality, Bekasi Regency and Bekasi Municipality, West Java Province.

In addition, based on the results of epidemiological studies and considering regional readiness in social, economic, and other aspects, the Minister considers it necessary to implement Large-scale Social Restrictions in the areas of Bogor Regency, Bogor Municipality, Depok Municipality, Bekasi Regency, and Bekasi Municipality, West Java Province, in order combat the spread of COVID-19.

“Regional governments of Bogor Regency, Bogor Municipality, Depok Municipality, Bekasi Regency and Bekasi Municipality in West Java Province are obliged to implement the Large Scale Social Restrictions as referred to in the FIRST Dictum in accordance with provisions of Laws and Regulations and to consistently encourage and disseminate healthy lifestyle to the public,” the SECOND Dictum of the Decree reads.

The aforementioned Large-Scale Social Restrictions is implemented during the longest incubation period and can be extended if the spread of the virus is not contained.

“This Ministerial Decree shall come into force as of the date of its issuance,” the FOURTH Dictum of the Decree reads. (EN)
